Probability and Statistical Inference (by Hogg&Tanis)这本书中的p.491
写了下列这一段话：
Many statisticians believe that estimation is much more important than
tests of hypotheses and accordingly approach statistical tests through
confidence intervals.
为什麽统计学家会认为estimation是比tests of hypotheses重要？
是因为tests of hypotheses是从estimation(e.g. confidence intervals)来的吗？
从统计的观点，以estimation出发可以推得很多东西是吗？
