In the first few seasons, they suppose to develope these characters so we would like/hate some of them. Instead, paramount drop a "temporal cold war" in attempt to get a quick success. When that failed, they try to bring back a lot of elements such as Borg, Romulan,Nazis..... Of course it did not work out. Then here comes the expanse. A totally bad branch of story. I stop watching it roughly around this period of time. Now, it's going to end. We still don't know many of the characters. We don't even have a reason to love/hate the ST:ENT so of course it will not be remembered. UPN should let go since they are out of touch of the audience. BSG had declared that there wil be a 2nd season but they also know the "earth part" of the story is bad. They are not going to do it. "Too many Nazis kill the story" BSG, ST-Atlantis , .... understand that they have to develope their characters. That's why they can end up successful. It's not because of the special effect or a bunch of big ships. You can find many episode of their first season are written for certain characters.
