Alex Defends Gstaad Title With New Coach
Alex returns to the ATP circuit this week to defend his title in Gstaad
with a new coach,
Enrique "Bebe" Perez.
Alex has ended his 18-year partnership with Javier Duarte. Alex said:
" 'Dudu' is more than just a coach for me, he is like an older brother. We
both would have loved to have finished our careers together but we have
decided that this was the best solution." Alex's older brother Sergio also
will no longer be working with Alex.
Javier said: "There is no one like Alex in the world. We have first of
all a personal relationship; he will always have me whenever he needs me."
Alex said he is excited to be working with Enrique. " 'Bebe also knows me
very well. He knows my family and I think now he is going to be the person
who can help me the most."
