台湾大学社会所 2010 年 秋季 文化社会学专题讨论 授课教师：赖晓黎 课程简介 　　Raymond Williams 曾说：「英文里有二三个比较复杂的字，culture就是其中的一个 。」事实上从现在的角度来看，除了Simmel, Mannheim, Lukacs & Gramsci之外，早期的 社会学者对文化的重视明显不足，或者不令人满意。直到1960年之後，有关文化的讨论逐 渐挤进社会学界，而聚焦在文化自主性的争议则陆续浮上台面。一时间，文化议题在人文 、社会学科里形成风潮，这种典范转移或许可以称为文化转向(cultrual turn)或文化复 兴(cultural renaissance)。通过原典的解读，本学期我们将从社会学的观点对这一思潮 作一基本的介绍。 　　自然，文化的多义性与歧义性，解读上难免也就充满模糊性与暧昧性。在文化社会学 的研究中，说法杂沓、进路迥异，内容五花八门、范围包罗万象，取材上难免挂一漏万， 撰择上必然顾此失彼。然而，一个学期内能做的总是有限。经过取舍，本学期的讨论就以 二战前後的德国文化社会学为起点，先处理Mannheim & Elias，接着交待Arendt & Benjamin；之後，我们集中处理文化社会学理论的若干重要思想家，即：Horkheimer & Adorno, Gramsci, Althusser, Habermas, Bourdieu, Alexander, Lyotard, Jameson, Baudrillard, Bauman 以及 Himanen & Lessig等，虽说每位思想家分配时间严重不足， 但仍希望同学能清楚掌握文化社会学的主要论题及争议焦点。 课程进行 　　本课程非基础课程，修习同学需具备社会学理论相关知识，并於以下三份文献（注1 ）中择二撰写阅读心得，内容包括：摘要、关键字与概念图。阅读心得缴交期限： 2010.09.29（下次上课前48小时前）。未缴交者视同未修本课程。为了让同学有时间撰写 心得，课程延後一周（即2010.10.1）上课并延後一周结束。 　　 修课同学请到教师网站上注册，本学期所有文件传递、消息通知与作业缴交等，请 全部 po 到「2010_秋_文化社会学专题讨论版」版上，并请自行备份。相关网路问题，请 洽任课教师。 　　 1. 每周作业：依据读本内容，每周有相关问题请同学回答，题目会 po 在版上，回 答也请回到版上。内容请直接徵引读本，如参考其他着作请注明出处。每周作业请於上课 前48小时po版，切勿迟交。无故迟交两次者视同一次未交，两次未缴交作业者视同无故报 告缺席。　　2. 课堂报告：每周作业由两位同学负责报告个人回答，并评论其他同学的 回答。负责报告的同学除不可抗力之原因外，不得缺席；无故报告缺席者，学期成绩以不 及格计。课堂报告亦请於上课前24小时po版，切勿迟交。 　　 3. 期末报告：题目自订，但以课程范围为限，字数不得少於五千字。内容除本文外 必须包含三个部分，即：术语汇编、文献回顾与参考书目。(a) 术语汇编即期末报告中主 要讨论概念及其定义；(b) 文献回顾即期末报告主要对话对像之反省与批判；(c) 参考书 目即尽可能罗列所有相关文献，并需区分为：必读书目与延伸阅读。 　　评分方式：期末报告占40%，每周作业占40%，课堂参与占20%。 注1：修习本课程同学必须於下列文献中择二撰写心得，并於第一次正式上课前48小时前 缴交： 　　 * 叶启政着 　　　　2004　《进出「结构─行动」的困境：与当代西方社会学理论论述对话》，页 131~277，修订二版，北市：三民。 　　 * Edles, Laura Desfor着；陈素秋译 　　　　2006　《文化社会学的实践》，初版，台北县永和市：韦伯文化国际。 　　 * Smith, Philip着；林宗德译 　　　　2008　《文化理论面貌导论》，二版，台北县永和市：韦伯文化国际。 课程进度 Ⅰ 9 /17 课程简介 Ⅱ 9 /24 撰写阅读心得二篇，并於指定期限内po版（本周不上课，课程延後一周结束） Ⅲ 10/01 Elias, Norbert ; translated by Edmund Jephcott with some notes and corrections by the author and edited by Eric Dunning, Johan Goudsblom, and Stephen Mennell 　 2000　 The civilizing process : sociogenetic and psychogenetic investigations.
