Sir, what if a writer is attempting to create a story
where nothing much happens?
老师，那如果作者想要尝试要写一个事情发生得并不多的故事呢？
Where people don't change, they don't have any epiphanies.
也就是故事里的人们并没有改变，也没有什麽顿悟。
They struggle and are frustrated, and nothing is resolved.
他们只能做困兽之斗并且挫败，到头来什麽事情都没有解决。
More a reflection of the real world.
也就是说，这是一种对真实的世界更贴切的反映。
Robert McKee:
The real world?
「真实的世界」？
Charlie Kaufman:
Yes, sir.
是的，老师。
Robert McKee:
The real fucking world.
好吧，好一个真实的世界。
First of all, you write a screenplay without conflict or crisis,
you'll bore your audience to tears.
第一点……唉，如果你写了一个电影剧本，
里头剧情没有冲突跟危机，那麽你会让你的观众无聊到想哭。
Secondly, nothing happens in the world?
Are you out of your fucking mind?
第二点，所谓真实的世界，就是啥都没发生……！？
请问你是写不出剧本所以脑、残、了、吗？？
People are murdered every day. There's genocide, war, corruption.
每天都有人被谋杀好吗！
还有……种族灭绝、战争屠杀，跟贪污腐败。
Every fucking day, somewhere in the world,
somebody...sacrifices his life to save someone else.
每一个鸟日子里，在这世上的某个角落，
都有人为了拯救其他人的生命，而牺牲了自己的性命！
Every fucking day, someone, somewhere takes a conscious decision
to destroy someone else.
每一个鸟日子里，却还有的人在其他的地方，
摆明了机关算尽，就是为了要在别人背後把他给干掉！
People find love, people lose it.
有人找到真爱，就有人心碎失恋！
For Christ's sake, a child watches her mother beaten to death
on the steps of a church.
喔老天呐，还有可怜的小孩子，
甚至只能眼睁睁地看着他的母亲，在教堂的石阶上被人家活活打死！
Someone goes hungry. Somebody else betrays his best friend for a woman.
也有人成天捱饿、饿到皮包骨。
还有人为了女人，背叛了他最要好的挚友！
If you can't find that stuff in life, then you, my friend,
don't know crap about life!
如果你说你的人生里连一点可以写的东西都找不到的话，
那我可以告诉你，我的朋友，你他妈的对人生的了解只是个屁！
And why the FUCK are you wasting my two precious hours with your movie?
干你他妈的只有这点料难道还想浪费我宝贵的两小时去看你的电影啊！？
I don't have any use for it! I don't have any bloody use for it!
我对你的作品一点办法也没有！！我对它一点、该死的屁用、都，帮不上！！！
Charlie Kaufman:
