I agree that Television has destroyed the communication among friends and family. Television was invented in the beginning of the 20 Century and became thrived after the technological improvements. Over time, it has played a great role in our lives. To be concerned over TV’s effects on our daily life, it’s essential that we t pay heed to TV’s functions. First of all, the news has accounted for a large part of the programs. People who used to chat with one another to get news and read news in newspaper now turn to the TVs. As a result, there seem to be an increasing lack of communication as people are unable to share their views of the same piece of news immediately. Furthermore, film channel became a major part of the TV programs. Consequently, going to a movie with friends is not the priority in their leisure time. More and more people prefer to stay at home rather than hang out with friends since there might be an appealing concert on the TV. Being at home watching movies alone become prevailing. Thus, without a doubt, it is hard to find something common to discuss. What’s more, the entertaining, attractive TV shows become dispensable for most of the families. The TV shows are so alluring that they spend their time sitting in front of the screen instead of paying attention to each other. The dinner time which used to be family time was taken place by TV-watching. So, it is not surprising that generation gap become larger; in the mean while, the relationship between parents and youth become worse. To sum up, the domination of TV has brought us immense impacts, especially on communication. What we should do is walking out of the door, interacting more with our friends, family and the people who care about you. In that case, the ill effects of TV should decrease. --
