1. Many people have a close relationship with their pets. These people treat their birds, cats, or other animals as members of their family. In your opinion, are such relationships good? Observing the relationship between human beings and pets, we could easily find out that there is a turn of how human beings treat their pets. In the past times, animals raised by human beings were used to be taken either as tools or food, seldon people owned pets,except the ruling and the rich class, because pets are served for accompaniment, not productive means. With the progress of industrialization and capitalization, people become richer, but the emergence of the city also result in the alienation and indifference between human beings. Human beings get more lonesome. Therefore, more and more people starts to raise their own pets. Owning pets turns out to be a kind of fashion as well as a need to fulfill the mental emptiness. As people treat their pets more closely, as a member of their family, even as lover, I think it is a good change. Since animals belong to a part of human family, it helps to blur the solid boundary exiting between human beings and animals, and reminds us to revisit the human-centrism in history. All in all, we should have more positive attitude toward this new trend. However, the populization of owning pets in the family raises some issues at stake, such as stray pets and animal rights, which calls more attention on the new socail phenomenon. --
