If I could travel back in time to meet a famous person from history, I would like to meet Confucius in the period of ancient China. There are some reasons to support my choice. First, because we inherit the ancient Chinese culture in Taiwan, we have to learn a lot of knowledge of Confucianism from school here. It would be fantastic and helpful if I had a chance to meet the person that the textbooks always mention about. For example, I could ask him the questions that I didn’ t understand and even the teachers in school can’t explain them clearly. Then, he could answer me directly and maybe we could have a discussion furthermore. It would be helpful to my study and make me to learn more besides the school. Second, Confucianism affects all the Northeast area of Asia. That is, since Confucianism is the core of culture in this area, the fundamental person, Confucius is the most important person in the Northeast area of Asia. For example, China, Taiwan, Japan and Korea are influenced with Confucianism. The people have to read and even memorize the talk of Confucius in school, and we follow the principles he mentioned about to live and deal with other people. Therefore, he is just like our mental teacher and culture mentor. If I could meet him in person and hade an opportunity to talk to him, it would definitely bring some difference in my life and inspire me something new. Because the two reasons I mentioned above, I would like to meet Confucius if I could travel back in time. Although it is still impossible to travel back in time now, I think this dream would become true soon since the rapid development of technology. When I had a chance to meet Confucius in person, I would ask him to sign for me of course! --
