Use specific reasons and examples to support your opinion. There is no doubt that we can access ample information from Internet. However, whether the information is valuable or not becomes a question. In my view, Internet brings us more good than harm. Firstly, Internet has totally changed the educational way from passive learning to active learning. In the past, teachers acted important roles to provide knowledge, which might be selective, to students. Therefore, students were imbued by teachers and lost their independent thinking abilities. However, with Internet, students can find information by themselves rather then just wait for the lectures. Also, students are able to search more information from different aspects, which helps to broaden students' views and provide more dimensional thinking. Secondly, Internet is a backchannel of information for the people who live in the autarchic countries. Although arbitrary rulers always attempt to control the Internet, it is still too hard to restrain the information within borders. Through many platforms such as blog, MSN, or Youtube, it is getting easier and easier for people to know the outside world. Therefore, Internet has alleviated the power of knowledge manipulation. Of course, some people might argue that Internet also causes some negative effects. For example, it let adolescents more easily to access to amorous pictures or videos and subsequently induces social problems. However, I attribute this kind of problems to the teachers and parents rather than to the Internet. Internet is a neutral database for everyone to obtain information they concerned. It is this characteristic that makes Internet so meaningful. Therefore, the teachers and families should teach their children how to distinguish inappropriate information and notice how they use the Internet. By doing so, children can enjoy the benefits and avoid the harm simultaneously. To sum up, we should not write off the advantages of Internet just because of some manageable problems. Internet is a neutral tool for us to use. If we can utilize it properly, it will bring us as much valuable information as we desire. --
