Sports Illustrated China: You once told us that you do not like losing, even when playing chess with your coach, so, are you still bearing that will in mind? Have you ever sensed the pressure caused by your will to win? How did you handle that? 你曾告诉说过你不喜欢输的感觉,即使是和你的教练下棋也一样. 你仍经得起这样地决心吗? 你是否注意到这样的决心给你带来压力? 你是如何处理的呢? Ana: It’s not easy to lose, that’s for sure! I am a very positive person and I try not to get too down, but sometimes I cry after a match, because there are always so many emotions inside, but then about an hour later I am feeling a lot better. 接受失败不是件易事,那是当然地! 我非常地积极.正面并试着不过於沮丧. 但有时候我还是会在输球後哭泣,因为那夹杂的许多情绪. 不过大约一小时後我感觉会好多了. Regarding pressure, I used to put too much pressure on myself because of the rankings. I wanted so much to reach the top 10, and that stopped me from playing my best tennis, because I was thinking about it too much. The way I improved was to forget about the rankings and focus only on my game, and that way the results, and the ranking, comes automatically. 关於压力,我过去因为排名给自己太多压力. 我非常地想进入前十名,但那也让我无法有好的表现.因为我想太多了. 我改进的方式是忘却排名并专注在比赛上. 这样的结果就是排名自己会上升. Sports Illustrated China: Ms. Arantxa Sanchez Vicario said that it was because she is a fighter that made her perfect. Would you label yourself a fighter too? What did the war-time in your country mean to your outstanding personality? Arantxa Sanchez Vicario曾说过因为她是个战士而使她完美. 你也会把你自己称作战士吗? 对你而言战争的日子有带给你什麽意义吗? Yes, I am definitely a fighter. I’ve won some tough matches when I wasn’t playing well, just by fighting and being determined not to lose. 试的,我的确是个战士. 在我状况不好时,我赢了艰辛的比赛. 靠着战斗和下定决心不认输. I think that all the experiences I went through growing up with the war and not having good facilities to train in, they all made me more determined to succeed. 我想我成长过程的所有经验包括战争和没有良好的训练设备都让我决心一定要成功. BQ: Now that you have visited China twice, what impression do you have of Beijing? 现在你已经到过中国两次了,对於北京有什麽印象呢? Ana: I can see that sport is important to the Chinese people, and they are very enthusiastic about it. I have been very impressed by the organization at the China Open, so I can also see that the Chinese are reliable people who know what they are doing. I love Asian food, so I have been enjoying eating here too. 我可以了解运动对中国人的重要性,他们非常地热衷. 我对於中网的组织感到印象深刻. 我也见识到中国人是可信赖的,他们知道自己正在做什麽. 我爱亚洲食物,所以我也很享受在这里用餐. BQ: Why did you choose to learn Spanish? 你为什麽选择学习西班牙文? Ana: I have always enjoyed visiting Spain and Latin America. I trained there a little bit some years ago, before I turned professional, and I really enjoyed playing tournaments in South America.
