The 19-year-old is scheduled to be seeded third for her first event since Wimbledon, having missed recent competition because of a knee injury. Ana, who reached the quarter-finals in the Tier II event last year, said: "I'm very excited to be competing in Los Angeles again. I played some good matches there last year and I see it's another very strong field. Always after being away injured you are very eager to get back on the court, and I'm really looking forward to the tournament." World No.2 Maria Sharapova is expected to be the top seed, while No.3 Jelena Jankovic is scheduled to be seeded second.
