04/23/2006 6:21 PM ET Giants lose Morris, fall in extra innings Pitcher ejected after hitting two batters in first inning By Rich Draper / MLB.com DENVER -- It wasn't a good day for San Francisco, as starter Matt Morris was ejected in the first inning, second baseman Ray Durham suffered a leg injury and Colorado won, 3-2, in the 10th inning as Miguel Ojeda drove home Eli Marrero with the winning run. Reliever Jeff Fassero (1-1) took the loss. Morris threw only eight pitches, and after hitting Matt Holliday, a curveball sailed inside and hit Marrero. Morris was tossed, along with manager Felipe Alou and pitching coach Dave Righetti. Jamey Carroll singled to open the first inning and scored on Brad Hawpe's fielder's choice grounder, while Marrero slugged a solo homer off Giants reliever Kevin Correia in the fifth. Colorado reliever Ray King hit Omar Vizquel in the eighth and was ejected along with manager Clint Hurdle. Steve Finley tripled to start the frame and tied it at 2 on Moises Alou's infield out. Rockies starter Jeff Francis gave up four hits over 6 2/3 frames, including a triple to Lance Niekro and an RBI groundout by Mike Matheny in the fifth.
