The Rockies have reached an agreement with Jon Garland on an incentive-laden
deal, tweets Jon Heyman of CBS Sports.The LSW Baseball client was released by
the Mariners over the weekend. It was reported earlier today that Garland was
in the Rockies' camp to take a physical.
Garland, 33, hasn't pitched in the Majors since 2009 due to a host of
shoulder injuries. In 2083 1/3 career Major League innings, he owns a 4.32
ERA, 4.9 K/9 and 3.0 BB/9 to go along with a 45.1 percent ground-ball rate.
