Would there any interest in moonlighting as a shooting guard for the Nuggets between now and the start of spring training? "I'm a half-court shot specialist," replied Tulowitzki, a sly grin creasing his face. Tulo apparently has the same unlimited range on a basketball court that he exhibits playing shortstop for the Rockies. A shooter without a conscience? Hmm, that's interesting. I'd pay to watch Tulo launch 25-foot jumpers. But don't the Nuggets already have that position filled? Think his name is J.R. Smith. If the Rockies are paying Tulo $5.5 million for the upcoming baseball season, however, how much could it cost the Nuggets to sign him for 35 games? "Tulo told us he's available," joked Nuggets front-office executive Masai Ujiri. "And he said he'd be willing to sign for the NBA minimum." As a senior in high school, Tulowitzki averaged 22.6 points per game. "Hey," Anthony said, "22 a game anywhere is good." OK, OK.
