Jimenez, who was nearly untouchable in the month, was promoted from the Drillers to the Triple A Colorado Springs Sky Sox on June 28. In four starts in June, Jimenez was a perfect 4-0. He held opposing batters to a .098 average, allowing only 8 hits in 26 innings. He struck out 31 and walked 9 while surrendering only 1 run. He twice recorded 10 strikeouts in a game. At the time of his promotion, Jimenez had not allowed a run in his last 23 2/3 innings and carried a 7-game winning streak. He was tied for the Texas League-lead with 9 victories and was second with a 2.45 ERA. Each month, the Topps trading card company honors one player from each of the leagues in Minor League Baseball.
