1. Brian Bannister帮助Joe Kelly改变滑球的握法，希望能收到更好的效果。10/1
Kelly首度在比赛中使用新滑球，平常87-88 mph的Slider变成91 mph，出手更简单、
打者能反应的时间更短，而不像滑曲球(Slurve)那样。
10/1那场用98 mph Fastball干掉Edwin Encarnacion 和 Jose Bautista，滑球让
Russell Martin挥空、Troy Tulowitzki拿香出局。
由於投球局数缩短，Kelly可以用更快的球速换取犯错空间。而他现在也可以多利用
比许多人的Fastball还快的Slider来迷惑打者。
