He beat the Yankees in New York in his last start, giving up five hits and two runs in 7 2/3 innings, but was coming off a start against Texas, where he walked seven and fanned seven in 4 2/3 innings. The 7 2/3 against the Yankees easily surpassed his previous season high of 6 1/3.
