While pitching has been an Achilles heel all season for Lowell, Capellan has been nothing short of a stud this season. The Dominican is 4-2 with a 3.40 ERA. The staff anchor ranks fourth in the league in strikeouts (53) and third in innings pitched (53.0). In his last outing against the Renegades, Capellan had a quality start, pitching six innings while giving up three earned runs and striking out six. Sea dog则是由双B之一的Bowden先发 Michael Bowden, who sports a 6-4 record with a 4.28 ERA, is the scheduled starter for the Sea Dogs. Bowden started the season at Class A Advanced Lancaster but was promoted to Portland after posting a 2-0 record with a 1.37 ERA in eight appearances.
