Arroyo is the only player that should make the major league team out of t his group. He'll be a long reliever with a very outside shot at the fifth starter role if B.K Kim went south. *Johnny Damon - Outfielder Mar. 4 - 10:10 am et Johnny Damon will miss Boston's first 3 exhibition games with a sore elbow. This should just be a precaution. * Trot Nixon - Outfielder Mar. 4 - 10:08 am et Trot Nixon will miss a few more days of camp with a knotted muscle in his backside. The last spot could down to Ramiro Mendoza (if he's healthy) or lefties Nick Bierbrodt and Mark Malaska. *Johnny Damon - Outfielder Mar. 2 - 1:00 pm et Johnny Damon was held out of batting practice yesterday because of a tender right elbow.Even though the injury isn't believed to be serious, the center fielder is expected to have his workload limited for the next few days. *Pedro Martinez - Starting Pitcher Feb. 29 - 7:44 pm et Pedro Martinez looked sharp in his first appearance on the mound on Sunday. Martinez threw all of his pitches and felt great. He'll pitch in his first exhibition game around March 10th. *Ramiro Mendoza - Relief Pitcher Feb. 29 - 11:50 am et There is no timetable for Ramiro Mendoza to return from the strained oblique muscle on his right side he suffered earlier this week. Red Sox pitching coach Dave Wallace says there is still time for Mendoza to be ready by Opening Day, but making the team would be an upset by now. --
