Former “American Idol” winner Kelly Clarkson announced Thursday that she
has canceled her entire summer arena tour because of poor ticket sales --- a
stunning reversal of fortune for an artist who has sold 15 million copies of
her first two albums.

“Ticket sales have not been what we anticipated and we came to the
realization that we had bit off more than we could chew,” said Michael
Rapino, CEO of tour promoter Live Nation.

But the album’s release has been overshadowed by media reports that Clarkson
and her boss, RCA Chairman Clive Davis, are feuding over her insistence on
maintaining creative control. This week, the singer fired her manager, Jeff
Kwatinez, who had been listed as the new album’s executive producer.
