He was rough defensively as a shortstop in the VSL, but has made improvements as he switched positions and is considered at least average in the field at second base. He made Bowling Green as a teenager and it's likely the Rays slow him down at some point unless he absolutely rakes (he's 1 for his first 14 with the Hot Rods). He has the potential to make an impact, but he's a long ways away from reaching his ceiling.
