标题[外电] Profar的肩膀又...

The Texas Rangers, who lost more days to players on the disabled list than
any team in 2014, are already off to bad news in that department in 2015 as
the team announced that infielder
Jurickson Profar will have shoulder surgery
on Monday and will be sidelined indefinitely.
Profar, regarded as the consensus No. 1 prospect in baseball entering the
2013 season, missed all of last season with shoulder problems after hitting
.234/.308/.336 in 85 games as a rookie in 2013.
Profar originally hurt his shoulder last spring training. A Dallas Morning
News report in December said Profar had rejected the idea of a surgery at
that time, saying "I already missed one season. I don't want to miss
another."
It's a devastating blow for Profar. While he's still very young -- he turns
22 tomorrow -- losing two full years of development time at such a crucial
age is obviously detrimental to his growth as a player. I can't recall a
position player losing two entire seasons with the same injury.
The Rangers still have Elvis Andrus and Rougned Odor up the middle. Odor was
rushed to the majors last year with all the injuries but held his own as a
20-year-old rookie, hitting .259/.297/.402.
