Rangers general manager Jon Daniels indicated in a radio interview with KRLD-FM/105.3 "The Fan" on Monday that Yu Darvish (elbow) is unlikely to pitch again this season. The Rangers initially expressed optimism that Darvish would be able to return from the DL when he's first eligible, but they have backed off any such timeline in recent days. While he's only dealing with mild inflammation in the elbow, the Rangers are out of contention and there's no reason to rush him back with just a month to go in the season. "With everything else we’ve dealt with and how important he is, we’ve said once he’s completely asymptomatic and the doctor clears him, we’d get another scan and then if everything is clear, we’d get him back pitching," said Daniels. "By the calendar and how close to the end of the season we are, I don’t know that it will allow him to pitch again." -- 好好修养吧 --
