标题[情报] Lewis 复健近况

HOUSTON — Right-hander Colby Lewis, who underwent elbow surgery in July and
is targeted to be back with the Rangers at the end of May, threw two innings
for the Triple-A Round Rock Express against Las Vegas on Thursday night.
Lewis threw 41 pitches in the game after throwing 11 in the bullpen.
Washington said the report he received noted that Lewis’ fastball topped out
at 89 mph and averaged 87 mph.
“It’s usually 91,” said Washington, who could use Lewis back in his
starting rotation. “The velocity will pick up with repetition.”
Lewis returned Friday to continue rehab in Surprise, Ariz. He is scheduled to
pitch for Round Rock again on Tuesday.
Lewis reported he “felt pretty good” after the outing.
“It’s like spring training for me, basically,” he said. “It was fun and
exciting to get back out there in a game with fans, but it’s mostly about
building up my arm strength right now.”
