Made four relief appearances in the Arizona League that year, allowing two hits and one walk in five innings while striking out nine. Pitched 96.2 innings with Hickory (Low-A) at age 19 in 2011, posting a 2.61 ERA, less than a hit per inning and 120 strikeouts against just 27 walks. Continued to dominate in first half of 2012, posting a 1.31 ERA in 13 starts. Allowed just 49 hits and 25 walks in 75.2 innings with 91 strikeouts. Very polished for his age and won’t be challenged until the upper levels of the system. Will need some time to polish game at the upper levels but could be ready for a big league cameo in 2013.
