标题[情报] Rangers acquire Soto

The Rangers acquired Soto from the Cubs on Monday night for
Double-A Frisco right-hander Jacob Brigham, according to industry
sources. The Rangers have not announced the move but are expected
to do so on Tuesday before the 3 p.m. CT non-waiver Trade Deadline.

Torrealba was designated for assignment on Monday night, meaning the
Rangers have 10 days to trade him or release him. Industry sources
said the Rangers are likely to trade him.
Torrealba在礼拜一晚上被DFA了。条子现在很想把他交易掉。
He is hitting .236 with three home runs and 12 RBIs in 49 games with
a .302 on-base percentage and a .342 slugging percentage. The Rangers
were also unhappy with his defense and were looking for an upgrade
behind Mike Napoli.
本季出赛49场 2成36打击率 3HR 12RBI 球团对他的守备非常的不满，所以计画找
个Napoli的备胎。
Soto had been a front-line catcher with some power until this season.
The Rangers are hoping he can step it up after being traded and finding
himself in the middle of a pennant race.
在本季之前，Soto一直是个具有些许长打力的第一线捕手，球团期待他可以在争

The 2008 National League Rookie of the Year, Soto is hitting a
career-worst .195 with six home runs and 14 RBIs in 51 games. But he is
having his best month of the season, batting .250 with one home run,
five RBIs and eight runs scored.
Soto是2008国联的新人王，但是今年是他生涯打得最差的一年。51场出赛 1成95的
打击率 6HR 14RBI。这个月的成绩是2成5 1全垒打 5打点 8得分。
Soto was sidelined from May 17 to June 17 after undergoing surgery to
repair a torn meniscus in his left knee. He had a pair of multihit
games and two home runs in the first three games he played after
being activated from the disabled list June 18. Since coming off the
disabled list, he is hitting .241 with three home runs and eight RBIs
in 24 games and 83 at-bats.
Soto今年5、6月时曾经在左膝开刀。从DL回来之後24场出赛83打席的成绩

Soto, who was named an All-Star and National League Rookie of the Year
in 2008, is a career .252 hitter and has hit 77 home runs with 264 RBIs
and a .445 slugging percentage in 554 games since his Major League debut
in 2005.

Soto is making $4.3 million this season and can't be a free agent
until after the 2013 season. He is eligible for arbitration this
winter. With Napoli being a free agent at the end of the season,
Soto does give the Rangers an experienced option at catcher for next
season.

Brigham was on the Rangers' 40-man roster but is not among their
top 20 Minor League prospects.
Brigham曾经在40人名单中，但是并不是条子小联盟中前20名的球员。
In 21 starts with Frisco, Brigham was 5-5 with a 4.28 ERA, 116
strikeouts and 46 walks in 124 innings. He was the Rangers'
sixth-round pick in 2006. A Texas League All-Star this year, Brigham
tossed six shutout innings in his last outing Saturday and was 1-0 with
a 2.00 ERA in his last three starts.
