Report: Rangers interested in Jeff Francis The Rangers, along with several other teams, have been kicking the tires on free-agent lefty Jeff Francis, according to this story. Francis averaged nearly 15 wins for the Rockies from 2005 to '07. But he was sidetracked by shoulder problems, winning just four games in 2008 and missing all of '09. The 29-year-old went 4-6 with a 5.00 ERA in 20 appearances (19 starts) last season after returning from shoulder surgery in mid-May. He didn't pitch the final month of the year. The Mets, Yankees, Nationals and Pirates also are reportedly interested in Francis.
