T.R. Sullivan of MLB.com reports that the Rangers "are trying to make
a strong push" for Marlins infielder Jorge Cantu.
The Rangers are on the hunt for a reliable right-handed bat, and Cantu
certainly fits that bill. He's hit 10 home runs this season and collected
54 RBI in 362 at-bats. Because he is owed only about $2.5 million for the
rest of 2010, the Rangers should be able to fit him into their budget.
