He learnt to use simple Basic programs on Multitech MPF-II (宏碁 小教授二号) in early 1980s, then learnt to use and write code for Unix on a VAX-11/780 running 4.3BSD in late 1980s. He was involved in organizing the first two Open Source Workshop (which became ICOS Taiwan) in 1999 and 2000. --
