Kentavious Caldwell-Pope has been diagnosed with a core muscle strain, the team announced Thursday night, and will be re-evaluated after the All-Star break. He sustained the injury after slipping on a wet spot on the floor Wednesday against the Boston Celtics.
A core muscle strain is, as I understand it, another way to say sports hernia, and that's not good. The Pistons did not list a recovery time, but the timetable could see KCP out 6-8 weeks, based on previous players who suffered the same injury.
