Daye, Summers lead Pistons to another summer-league win

LAS VEGAS -- Pistons assistant coach Darrell Walker said today's plan called
for more minutes for rookie Austin Daye after playing 19 in Friday night’s
summer-league opener.
夏季联盟的第一场比赛，Daye 只上场了19分钟。

Guess he wasn’t kidding.

Daye played the entire 40 minutes (summer-league rules) this afternoon and
showed a variety of offensive skills in putting up a 19-point, eight-rebound
night as the Pistons moved to 2-0 with a 91-87 victory over the Toronto
Raptors.
这场比赛，Daye打满整场40分钟 (全场40分是夏季联盟的规则)
并且展示了他进攻端多元的技巧，拿下了19分、8篮板
也帮助活塞以91-87拿下夏季联盟第二场胜利
He displayed the potential that prompted the Pistons to use the 15th pick of
June’s NBA draft on the skinny, 6-foot-11 forward.
他用行动证明了为什麽活塞会用第15顺位选一个6-11的排骨前锋
He shot 8-for-14 from the field and nailed two three-pointers, but it was his
use of the pick-and-roll that should have Pistons salivating over the future.
He was used as the ballhandler, and when he came off the pick, he could use
his height to see the floor.

He set up DaJuan Summers for a dunk and made another nice decision early for
two quick assists.

Again, it was just a summer-league game, and he still needs to add weight.
But you can’t question the kid’s basketball skill.

Second-round pick Jonas Jerebko added seven rebounds and 12 points, and
Summers grabbed six boards for the Pistons. Deron Washington, a second-round
pick in 2008, chipped in 13 points.
而第二轮选进的Jerebko拿下12分、7篮板，大囧夏也抓了6个篮板
另一位去年第二轮选进的Deron Washington也拿了13分
Former Wolverine Brent Petway and former Piston Smush Parker scored six
points apiece for the Raptors (0-2).
