But they just were so uncharacteristically bad down the stretch that I couldn't believe it. Dave Hogg of the AP looked it up and Chauncey Billups missed three free throws in a game ONCE this season, January 5 against Boston. He missed three total in the final 18 games of the regular season. I was dumbfounded when he missed two in a row, never mind missing another one after that. Then he and Rasheed Wallace both missed what are normally very easy shots for them. That can't happen. They are going to have to find a way to prevent Philly from using their athleticism against them. This was a bad start.
