菲律宾大学每年12月16日， 校园内自动发起一场年度裸奔。 正是後者这样的诉求， 没有太欢乐， 但也不悲情，和平提出抗议。 这项活动开始於1977年， 参与者皆为大学内一个叫做「APO」兄弟会员。 当初为了抗议政府 禁演一部描述破坏人权的电影「Hubad na Bayani」。 此後， 这项传统保留近四十年至今。 菲律宾大学毕业校友还发起活动 「100 Nakeds / 100 Years」， 好有当年勇精神。 In 1977 the UP Alpha Phi Omega Fraternity sponsored a play entitled Hubad na Bayani (The Naked Hero). To drum up interest in the play, some fraternity members decided to run around the campus, well, naked.
