标题cpan中出错误的可能？

要在cpan(cpanplus也是)中update一些东西时
会无法成功 ex:
*** Error code 255
Stop in /usr/cpan/build/Time-Local-1.12.
/usr/bin/make test -- NOT OK
Running make install
make test had returned bad status, won't install without force
Failed during this command:
DROLSKY/Time-Local-1.12.tar.gz : make_test NO
请问有什麽可能会造成这种情形
on freebsd, perl v5.8.7
