THE GREATEST 天生好手 (Written by Don Schlitz) Little boy, in a baseball hat 一个小男孩，戴着一顶棒球帽 Stands in the field with his ball and bat 手拿他的球与棒，站在球场上 Says, \"I am the greatest player of them all\" 他说，「我是所有球员里最棒的一个」 Puts his bat on his shoulder and he tosses up his ball 他把球棒举到肩上，然後投起他的球 And the ball goes up and the ball comes down 球飞起，球落下 Swings his bat all the way around 他使劲的全力挥出球棒 The world so still you can hear the sound 整个世界如此的宁静，你可以听到 The baseball falls to the ground 棒球落到地面的声音 Now the little boy doesn\'t say a word 小男孩一个字也没说 Picks up his ball, he is undeterred 捡起他的球，他毫不气馁 Says, \"I am the greatest there has ever been\" 他说，「我是所有球员里最棒的一个」 And he grits his teeth and he tries it again 然後他咬紧牙关，再试一次 And the ball goes up and the ball comes down 球飞起，球落下 Swings his bat all the way around 他使劲的全力挥出球棒 The world so still you can hear the sound 整个世界如此的宁静，你可以听到 The baseball falls to the ground 棒球落到地面的声音 He makes no excuses 他没有替自己找任何藉口 He shows no fear 他没有露出丝毫畏惧 He just closes his eyes 他只是闭上眼睛 And listens to the cheers 倾听着观众的欢呼 Little boy, he adjusts his hat 小男孩调整一下他的帽子 Picks up his ball, stares at his bat 捡起他的球，注视着他的球棒 Says, \"I am the greatest, the game is on the line\" 他说，「我是最棒的，球赛正在进行中」 And he gives his all one last time 接着他最後一次使出他的全力 And the ball goes up while the moon\'s so bright 球高高飞起，当月光无比明亮 Swings his bat with all his might 他用尽全力挥出他的球棒 The world\'s as still, as still can be 整个世界静得不能再静 The baseball falls and that\'s strike three 棒球落地，那已经是三振 Now it\'s suppertime and his momma calls 晚餐\时间到了，他的妈妈在呼唤 Little boy starts home with his bat and ball 小男孩拿起他的棒与球，踏上归途 Says, \"I am the greatest, that is a fact 他说，「我是最棒的，那可是事实 But even I didn\'t know I could pitch like that!\" 但连我自己都不知道我能够那样的投球！」 Says, \"I am the greatest, that is understood 他说，「我是最棒的，大家都已经公认 But even I didn\'t know I could pitch that good!\" 但连我自己都不知道我可以投得那麽好！」 --
