Steve Nash explained on Friday how he has no interest in becoming a ring-chaser,
despite how badly he has sought a title and has a limited number of seasons
remaining.
飘发哥Nash礼拜五的时候表示,尽管他希望能在所剩无给的篮球生涯中拿个冠军之类的,但
他还是不想当个*ring-chaser.
(*个人解释是以拿冠为主要目的,即便压低身价或投靠敌方也不足为惜的球星)
“Well, I mean I think for me, of course I want to win a ring,” Nash says. “
But at the same time I’m like, ‘I don’t want to win it with those guys.
Those guys have been the enemy for X amount of years.’ So I’m not quite in
that camp yet — ‘I don’t care, put me on the best team and I’m going to
try to win a ring.’ I still feel like kids from my neighborhood want to beat
the kids from that neighborhood, like we were growing up. I’m not ready to
concede, ‘Well, they’re better than us, I’ll join them.’ I’m just not
there yet. Maybe I’ll get there.”
他说: 我想对我来说,冠军当然是很重要啦.
可是我觉得说"我才不想跟那些人一起拿冠,我们N年前就是敌人耶"
所以现在还不太能接受"随便啦,把我丢到最强的球队,我要冠军啦"那种观念.
我还是觉得宿敌就是宿敌,所以没有想"打不过就加入他们吧".
未来不知道,但至少我现在不会那麽认为.
Nash did concede that reuniting with Dirk Nowitzki and the Mavericks would be
a different type of scenario.
“I’m not saying that couldn’t happen,” Nash said.
但如果是小牛的话,那又另当别论.
他表示"我没有说过不可能喔"
Many around the NBA have wondered why Nash hasn't sought a trade to a
contender.
“A lot of people are like, ‘Well, why don’t you ask for a trade?’ Well,
you could ask for a trade and go to a team that’s in a worse position this
year,” said Nash. “So I try to be thankful for what I have, great
teammates, great coach, a city I’ve had a lot of success and enjoyment in, I
just want to play until they tell me it’s time to move on.”
然而或许很多人纳闷Nash为什麽不想转投强队.
"很多人都问我为什麽不想换队.但是你也可能因此被换到一支很後段的球队"
"所以我很珍惜我现在所拥有的-好队友,好教练,
还有这个充满我快乐回忆和看我发光发热的城市.
我想我会在这里打球一直打到他们不要我. "
