It is just days away from the NBA season opener and somehow free-agent center
Erick Dampier(notes) is still without a team.
The Arizona Republic reports that he's "expected to pick a team before
opening-night rosters are set Monday."

For just a couple of months this summer, Charlotte Bobcats fans got to dream
about the 6-11 center playing for their team, but then he was waived on Sept.

Conventional wisdom had him joining the Miami Heat but then Pat Riley seemed
to realize that he already had enough big men on the roster with Joel
Anthony(notes), Jamaal Magloire(notes), and Zydrunas Ilgauskas(notes) already
onboard.
之前Dampier对热火有兴趣 可是热火已经有JA 大猫 大Z所以不签Dampier

Then word came that he would sign with either the Milwaukee Bucks or Houston
Rockets.

And now the Arizona Republic is reporting that the Phoenix Suns are "high on
the list" for Dampier. "Phoenix is certainly one of the top teams he's
considering," said Dampier's agent, Dan Fegan, according to the paper.
Dampier has a pal on the team, former Golden State Warriors teammate Jason
Richardson(notes).
