标题[开箱] OCZ VERTEX2 with SF-1200

这几年内, 整个储存装置的变化似乎因为SSD而有很大得变化. 虽然传统硬碟载容量部分
一直往上增加, 但是其速度却受限於读写头以及其他机械设计的限制, 所以在速度部分,
没办法再往上提升. 也因为如此, 也有越来越多人选择了能够在速度上满足使用的SSD做
为主要系统的储存碟.
在过去的JM、SAMSUNG、INTEL到INDILINX, 经历很不长的时间, 都在过去的一年内发生的
统统出来了.
INTEL控制器在目前应该算是主流的控制器了, 不论是-V或是-M, 几乎可以各论坛上看到
相关的话题讨论. 今天当然不是要介绍INTEL的SSD, 而是追求更高的效能的晶片组 –
SANDFORCE.
SANDFORCE的强大在於其IOPS以及4K小档读写, 而这两点几乎就是SSD的弱点所在. SF的控
制器似乎无视这两个弱点, 在4K以及IOPS的表现都相较於其他几家的控制器来的强大许多
. 至於实际表现, 往下继续看吧.
这次拿到的是OCZ的VERTEX 2, 容量为100G. 小P拿到这颗SSD的时候, 看到容量大概知道
这是SANDFORCE的控制器.

其实跟一般的SSD差异不大, 但是可以发现少了一般SSD有的快取, 似乎是因为SANDFORCE
已经将快取并入到晶片组内部.
而实际效能到底如何, 就继续看下去吧. 这里利用了两个模式 – AHCI开启以及AHCI关闭
进行测试.
测试主机板晶片组为INTEL X58 ICH10R.

透过数字可以发现, VERTEX2在开启AHCI之後, 整个效能简直就往上提升了许多, 这似乎
跟韧体有一点瓜葛.
以SANDFORCE 1200作为控制器的OCZ VERTEX2不论是在READ / WRITE 或是IOPS的表现都非
常不错, 特别是4K小档的读写, 只能说SSD真的越来越恐怖. 而在容量上, 以100G大小而
言, 绝对是足以满足许多人的使用条件.
所谓一分钱一分货…所以看到这样的数据, 不难想像这颗SSD能够便宜到什麽地方. 目前
以SANDFORCE为控制器的SSD, 几乎都不便宜…真的希望, 这类型的产品能够更快的降到一
般消费者都买得起的价格阿 ~~~~
另外记得一件事情, 不论是使用SSD或是一般的HDD, 都必须不定时备份, 不要到资料消失
的时候…才在头痛啊…..
