Actually if you are senior enough, there are still some companys are looking for HW/System/Board Designer (nVidia, Marvell, Cisco, Broadcom, Qualcomm, Motorolla, Foundry, and some smaller companys). If you can also handle high speed signal integrity issue, I think you still have big chance. But you need to have a legal working status in U.S first. Easiest way is to get an U.S EE degree, start from OPT , but it's not 100% gurantee that you can find a job here, what if you can't find one? or you find one, but it's not like what you want to do at very beginning? it's not easy to work on kernel stuff in U.S high-tech company. If you really want to do something big or creative,and you have some idea ,maybe you can start your own bussiness in Taiwan. I think that's not that hard for your background. Some U.S big companys got their ass kicked by Taiwaness company (MediaTek..!!). have a nice day --
