Now, the Suns have added a new voice with a familiar face to Team Clark. Gaines said he knew the Suns 2009 14th overall pick was talented but did not realize how much until he got a recent up-close daily look. But a perception remains from his easy way and that he has a low flame. His defined NBA skill, defensive versatility, was on display when he was guarding every position but point guard in his man-to-man assignment, not to mention his ability to switch onto other men. There are still his off-moments, like when he reverts to shooting from above his head or his frustration with a missed shot keeps him from retreating on defense for a moment. Clark并不认为他现在的表现，跟制服组希望他在夏联的表现有何不同。不过Clark过去 一周在非正式的练习中一直都有很有抢眼的表现。他展现出了除了防守控卫以外，可以防 守多个位置的一对一防守能力。更不用说他的换防能力也很出色。 The biggest criticism of Clark from summer league play was his willingness to settle for a perimeter shot on offense. 大家对Clark夏季联赛最大的批评就是他老是喜欢在弧顶左右的位置跳投。 "I told him, 'You can always get that 18-footer,' " Gaines said. "But he has the ability to go to the hole and sometimes the best basketball play is not scoring. Sometimes, it's hard to get guys to understand that." Gaines表示，我告诉过Clark，你可以永远在18尺远做跳投，但不要忘记你有切入上篮的 能力，而且篮球不是只有得分，你也可以传给机会更好的队友。 有时候，年轻人就是年轻人，很难让他了解篮球正确的运作机制。 It is such a critical time for Clark because the team has options on the third and fourth years of his contract wtih a decision on 2011-12 due at the end of October. Gentry came out of last season saying he would be disappointed if Clark was not in this season's rotation but the scene changed with Hedo Turkoglu, Hakim Warrick and Gani Lawal being added. Clark应有危机意识的是，球队在10月底时会决定要不要执行他後两年的合约。 Gentry曾经说过如果Clark在本赛季如果不能进入轮替他会很失望，但目前的情境已经 改变了，Turkoglu, Warrick 和 Lawal的加入，都使得轮替名单更加拥挤。 Clark looks like he will be hard-pressed to crack the rotation but will get his chances in preseason games.
