Outfielder Nick Markakis was hitless in three at-bats and 0-for-8 in the
series, snapping his Major League leading streak of 182 consecutive series
with a hit.
"All good things come to an end," said Markakis, who began the streak against
Tampa Bay in May 2008. "In this game, it's very hard to be consistent -- and
that's what you shoot for. It doesn't bother me. We ended up losing the game.
I'm bothered by that more."
