Orioles fire manager Dave Trembley
The Orioles fired manager Dave Trembley on Thursday night, reports Dan
Connolly of the Baltimore Sun.
As speculated in various outlets, he was given the boot following Thursday's
6-3 loss to the Yankees. Trembley wraps up his tenure in Baltimore with a
187-283 record over parts of four seasons. The Orioles currently sit at 15-39
and in last place in the American League East. Juan Samuel has been hired as
the new interim manager, with Norfolk Tides skipper Gary Allenson becoming
the new third base coach.
