Using a set of hand signals, written passages,improvisations, and a set of guidelines, musicians will be performing a set of pieces inspired by Stapp’s sci-fi novel using CFM. Since then he’s been living in New York since 2007 and experienced the diversity of New York’s music scene including engagements with Steven Bernstein’s Universal Melody Brass Band, ICE (International Contemporary Ensemble), tours with Red Barrat, with Slavic Soul Party, Mario Pavone’s Accordion Project, playing Earle Brown with the ECCE Ensemble at MIT, frequent traditional jazz and brass band freelancer, Nate Wooley’s Seven Storey Mountain, principal tubist for the Chelsea Symphony, with TILT at Lincoln Center to Premier John Luther Adam’s Sila, for Eli Yamin’s Blues Band, Sousaphone player for Jacob Sac’s live Heavens Trombone Choir, plays tuba in Stephen Haynes Quintet with Joe Morris, Warren Smith, and William Parker, and dedicated Colombian-music tubist and euphonium player with Martin Vejarano’s Cumbia River Band, Chia’s Dance Party, Pablo Mayor’s Folkore Eurbano, and the experimental Alejandro Florez’ Tin Throat Ensemble. His most recent album will be released in March on Fundacja Sluchaj featuring Joe Morris and Stephen Haynes. Many themes for this album and his Collaborative Form Music stem from his recently finished sci-novel. --- ● 张幼欣 Sayun Chang 击乐手，出生於苗栗头份，毕业於国立台北艺术大学音乐系和美国哈特福大学哈特音乐院 硕士班，热衷於现代音乐、世界音乐、自由即兴与各类跨领域的合作，也致力於偏乡学校 的音乐推广。 2016年与日本太鼓和筱笛音乐家Kaoru Watanabe合作，录制的专辑Néo受到美国线上杂志 All about Jazz的好评。2017年四月，与爵士钢琴家Renato Diz和歌手Maria Quintanilla Bandcamp发行了Breathing Taiwan的专辑。同年，入选美国国务院赞助的 OneBeat国际音乐交流计画，於美国西岸的四个州巡演。 近年来参与的海内外音乐节，包括Mostly Mozart Festival、Festival de Musique Actuelle de Victoriaville、Pittsburg Festival of New Music、International Festival of Arts and Ideas、Nublu Jazz Festival、JoengJu International Sori Festival、台南艺术节、新北市鼓艺节、世界音乐节＠台湾。在2018年合作过的艺文团体 有「风乎舞雩」跨域聚团 、新古典舞团 、MAFIA跨域艺术 、云树雅集 、异境乐团、鼓 鲁击世界打击乐团、沐雅室内乐集和Cross打击乐团。 现为：异境乐团击乐手 Cross打击乐团团员 黄玮杰与山寮乐队之合声与击乐手 --- ● 林小枫 Hsiao-Feng Lin 擅长笛、箫等民族管乐演奏，也常接触世界各民族的吹奏乐器，演出形式融合了传统和前 卫。多年来他受邀往来於各方艺术领域，与不同的艺术家合作，不断开拓笛乐演奏上的疆 界，并以即兴、独白的演奏方式来探索、发展彼此间的关系。他演奏现代音乐、传统音乐 、世界音乐和实验的前卫音乐。 2011年开始策划小型跨界音乐会，其中的「隐居」系列音乐会涵盖了多国艺术家、音乐家 。2014年成立笛箫品牌，「无为笛箫系列」关注於东方简约的美学理念。2015年受邀参演 第一届「台湾国际即兴音乐节」与「首届中国笛箫节」。2016年策划演出《庄周梦蝶》结 合多媒体影像、即兴音乐、实验声音、舞蹈、行为等跨域节目於台北国家演奏厅。 2017年担任「南岛珍珠，凝眸下的瞬息」台湾、马来西亚艺术跨界交流计画召集人。并入 选「新北市乐坛新星」，举办《相忘江湖-林小枫笛箫音乐会》。2019以《笛乐轨迹》音 乐会入选王道银行第十届堤顶之星。 --- ● 张登尧 Deng-Yao Chang 1984年生於新竹，美国马里兰艺术学院艺术创作硕士，2010年回台後持续从事艺术展演、 策划与推广至今，并成立江山艺改所艺文空间。自幼学习钢琴与二胡多年，并参与乐团演 出，聆听音乐类型广泛，从古典传统到前卫实验，近年开始尝试以二胡及唢呐进行自由即 兴与噪音演奏。 Born 1984 and based in Hsinchu, Taiwan. Deng-Yao received his Master of Fine Arts degree from the Maryland Institute College of Art (MICA) in Baltimore, MD. He has been constantly working on artistic practice, curatorial practice and art promotion since returning to Taiwan in 2010. He founded the art space “Jiang Shan Yi Gai Suo”. He learned to play piano and erhu for many years when in young ages and participated in a well-known local Chinese orchestra. He enjoys listening to music comprehensively, from classical or traditional music to avant-garde or experimental sounds.
