The Nuggets also were depleted. But the Mavericks were the stronger team down the stretch, overcoming a 69-63 deficit at the end of the third quarter for their 10th straight win. The win enabled Dallas coach Avery Johnson to become the fastest coach in NBA history to reach 100 wins.
