Marcus Camby 这个球季完有 player option,
也许他的挚友 spree 可以道德规劝一番找他加入 XD
(当然,spree 也有 player option,不知道他会不会去金块 XD)

That's why Denver Nuggets center Marcus Camby could be found enjoying his
evenings this week in what usually would be considered enemy territory.
Hours after sending Minnesota Timberwolves guard Latrell Spre- well crashing
to the floor with a hard foul Sunday night, Camby was relaxing at his best
friend's house.
The scene was similar Monday night as Sprewell opened his home and joked
about luring Camby to Minnesota when he becomes a free agent this summer.
In the playoffs simultaneously for the first time since they were teammates
with the New York Knicks, Camby and Sprewell are making the most of it.
"We spent hours and hours the last couple days just talking and reminiscing
together, which is cool," Camby said Tuesday. "It's fun to be around him
again."
For about 2 1/2hours tonight, the friendship again will turn adversarial as
the Nuggets and Timberwolves play Game 2 of their Western Conference
first-round playoff series (7:30 MDT, KTVD-Channel 20, TNT).
"You put the friendship aside, definitely," Sprewell said. "It's a business,
and it's all about winning the game. I'd like to be on the same team with him
considering we're such friends, but it's fun. It's very competitive, and
that's what it's all about."
The bond between Camby and Sprewell has been unbreakable since Sprewell was
traded from the Golden State Warriors to New York on Jan. 21, 1999.
Having arrived from Toronto in a trade seven months earlier, Camby knew
little about Sprewell other than his infamous chokehold on then-Warriors
coach P.J. Carlesimo and subsequent 68-game suspension the previous season.
"No one really knew that much about him except for what happened with him and
P.J.," Camby said. "I didn't know what to expect when he first came in, but
once I saw his attitude in practice and his demeanor and how much he wanted
to win, that's just how I am. Same qualities, and that made us click
instantly."
Besides their competitive drive, Camby and Sprewell share an affinity for
video games, electronic equipment and cars.
Particularly cars. Black ones of all makes and models.
Camby has about 10 cars, Sprewell about 15, including a new Lamborghini that
came up in conversation after Denver and Minnesota were paired in the first
round of the playoffs.
"I said if we win the series, he has to ship it to my house in New York,"
Camby said.
Even if the Nuggets fail to upset the top-seeded Timberwolves, Camby likely
will have an opportunity to drive Sprewell's fancy Italian sports car soon
enough.
Shortly after Camby moved into a spacious home in Westchester, N.Y., a few
years ago, Sprewell bought his own place about a half-mile away.
The two see each other on a regular basis during the summer as Sprewell shows
off his latest high- tech gadgets and welcomes Camby onto his yacht for a day
on the lake.
"I love M," Sprewell said of Camby. "M's great. What can you say? When you
meet good friends and you become close, usually that lasts long after
basketball."
The relationship became long distance when Camby left New York in a draft-day
trade with the Nuggets in 2002.
The transition was difficult for Camby. Not only was he moving nearly 2,000
miles from his best friend, but he was heading to a franchise under
reconstruction.
Two years later, Camby is one of the primary reasons behind Denver's
resurgence, earning him a date with Sprewell, who was shipped to Minnesota on
July 23.
With Camby set to become a free agent July 1, Sprewell and Timberwolves point
guard Sam Cassell made a lighthearted recruiting pitch as they convened at
Sprewell's house Monday night.
"I told him he could come join us next year," Sprewell said.
"I don't know," Camby said. "This is where I want to be, in Denver, so I'll
probably just get used to being their rivals in the Midwest Division."
Friendly rivals in the most literal sense.
