Soccer.net Aug.29 Everton are trying to sign Valencia striker John Carew on a season-long loan. But manager David Moyes faces competition from SPL champions Rangers and Italian giants Roma, among others. The 23-year-old is expected to leave the La Liga side and Moyes has moved for him after captain Kevin Campbell was injured, while fellow forward Duncan Ferguson has been unable because of suspension.
