若再签下谣传的四年延长合约，卷毛很有可能就把生涯尾声奉献给纽卡了。他说：
"I love Newcastle. I don't like the winters, they are hard,
but I like the way of life.
「我爱纽卡城。我不喜欢这里的冬天，实在是太冷了！
不过我喜欢这里的生活方式和步调。」
"When I was young I loved the English language. I went to an English school,
but in the afternoon I played football so I missed my lessons.
「小时候，我很哈英文。我去一间语文学校上上英文课，
不过一到下午，我就跑去踢球了，所以我漏掉很多堂课。」
"It was always in my mind that I would like my children to learn English
and my little girl, she is fluent. She teaches me.
My son, he has a small problem with language, but he is better than me.
「在我心里，我一直希望能让我的小孩们也去学学英文，
你瞧，我的宝贝女儿，她英文挺溜的，她还反过来教我！」
「我儿子在语言学习上有一点小麻烦，不过他英文还是比我厉害。」XD
"They make me a proud father.
「他们让我这个爸爸很骄傲。」
"They have English friends, my daughter has a Newcastle accent.
Sometimes I can't understand her.
「他们都有自己的英国朋友。我女儿有一口乔迪人口音，
有时候都听不懂她在说啥。」XDDDDDDD
"They went to Argentina for three months and they couldn't wait to come back
to Newcastle. They missed their friends.
「他们回阿根廷老家才三个月，就吵着要回纽卡了。他们非常想念英国的朋友们。」
听，卷毛要说小故事了！
"There is a story I tell all the time in Argentina.
My dog Choco ran away and I thought I would never see him again.
The next day, a policeman came to our house. He said there was a fine,
but my dog was back. Nobody ever believes me when I tell that story:
in Argentina there are so many stray dogs, they are killed, disappear.
「这是我经常在阿根廷国内分享的小故事：
我有一只叫做 Choco 的狗，走丢了。我以为我这辈子再也看不到牠了。
隔天，一位条子敲了敲我家的门，他说他必须来收罚款（没善待好宠物？），
不过我的狗，牠回来了！」
「从来没有半个阿根廷人相信我讲的这段故事。在阿根廷，有太多太多走失的狗，
牠们的下场不是被杀掉、就是人间蒸发了。」
"In England the streets are clean and it is safe for my family.
If they are happy I am happy."
「在英格兰，街道都很乾净、对我的家人们来说也比较安全。
如果他们觉得待在这里很开心，那我也很开心。」
当然，在纽卡适应良好的卷毛，也有个很宏大的愿望要说：
"I want to stay – and I want to get Newcastle back into Europe."
