Vini对於能加入纽卡索表示开心，以下是他接受巴西媒体访问的内容：
“I never thought about working with these guys that I saw on TV.”
我没想到居然能和电视上那些大牌一起踢球。
“During their training for example I look at one side and I see Owen.”
在训练场上，老子第一眼就看到了那个最大牌的麦克大牌。
“I look at the other side and I see Martins. It’s very cool.”
然後再回头看又看到那个喜欢翻跟斗的，真他妈爽！
关於新朋友：
“As yet I have no car, and he
(Cacapa) takes me every day for training
and invites me to go to his house. It is an expensive house.”
我没车，所以那个跑不动、没有比赛踢的老头就整天开车带我到处晃。
他还载我去他家炫耀房子，他人真好！
关於比赛：
“He (Kinnear) asked me to come back soon because it is every player hurting.”
金妮尔叫我快点回去纽卡，因为现在每个人都掰咖，比赛快找不到人踢了
（XD）
“It seems that the team needs me.”
看起来球队真的很需要我，科科！
“They will hire a teacher for me.”
他们会找个老师来教我说英文。
上次我们签下Zoggy和Milner的时候，他们也都才18岁而已。
