SCOTT Parker could be fit to face Newcastle United later this month after
stepping up his comeback bid in a friendly match for West Ham.
The former Magpies skipper came through 80 minutes of a behind-closed-doors
game against Colchester United in what was his first run-out since suffering
a knee injury during the summer.
The Hammers face Middlesbrough at Upton Park on Saturday before their trip
to Tyneside on Sunday, September 23.
