"We think it all relates back to the operation he had to have after getting injured at West Ham. 　　"He had a perforated bowel. The two groin injuries he has had this year, I think all lead back to the operation he had after West Ham. 这是Given今年第二次触伤鼠蹊。 　　"Shay Given is never injured, but he has now been injured three times this season." 　　Roeder is not ruling out Given playing again this term. 　　"He will probably struggle for the weekend but we don't believe his season is over at all," he added. 炮德相信Given不用提早放暑假。 　　Kieron Dyer was forced off with a slight hamstring strain, but Roeder claims his withdrawal was a precaution and insisted it was not related to the problems which have blighted the midfielder's career. 至於Dyer的大腿有小伤，不过炮德为安全起见 下半场开始不久就把他换下场 避免小伤变大伤，影响Dyer职业生涯。 　　"It was my decision to take him off to protect him and keep him fit for the rest of the season, not just Portsmouth," added Roeder.
